“KLEM HAS A GREAT TACTICAL LAW ENFORCEMENT MIND AND MAKES THE RIGHT DECISIONS WHEN THEY HAVE TO BE MADE.” DENNIS CHALKER; COMMAND MASTER CHIEF USN / NAVY SEAL

From being teased as a child for being so small to graduating number one in Marine Corps Boot Camp and selected to guard two American Presidents, Klem’s journey was that of a Hollywood action movie. Even after a very successful Marine Corps enlistment, his drive would not let this be the end of his story. He became what few in the Country have ever done; He became a very successful Bounty Hunter arresting over 350 fugitives. Wanting a more stable career, he took a job in a jail. He quickly rose through the ranks in the Sheriff’s Office to command two tactical units, and serve as a team leader on the Prosecutor’s SWAT Team.

He has led an incredible life participating in or commanding many tactical operations and has dedicated himself to mastering the art of tactical training and fitness.

Nick Klementowicz began his professional journey at 8 years of age. He would help his uncle fix old tools to sell in flea markets, and cut grass in the summer. At the age of 12, he started working as a helper for a contractor, and one year later started lifting weights because people used to tease him about how skinny his arms were.

In high school, he started a business with a friend and constructed weight lifting equipment. He imported steel weights from overseas and was able to sell them at half the price current weights sold for at the time.

After graduation, he enlisted in the Marine Corps. In Boot Camp, he graduated number one in his platoon and was selected to try out for Recon or the Yankee White Program. He decided to continue his path with the Yankee White Program and was transferred to Marine Barracks 8th and I in Washington DC. He was in Guard Section until his top secret clearance was complete. He then spent his remaining years guarding former Presidents Reagan and Bush SR. at a classified location.

BOUNTY HUNTER

After leaving the Marine Corps, he desired a career where he could utilize all his experience, so he chose Bounty Hunting. In the 4 ½ years he spent as an independent Bounty Hunter, he arrested over 350 fugitives with two other partners, Crazy Ed and Uncle Dave.

LAW ENFORCEMENT

While Bounty Hunting was the best job in the world, it was probably one of the worst careers. He accepted a safer position with the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office as a Corrections Officer and assisted in creating the Correctional Response Team (Jail SWAT Team). Soon he took command of CRT and started working on a weapons component of the team using Sheriff’s Officers and Correction Officers. Not too long after, the Special Response Team (SRT) was born.

While commanding both teams, he tirelessly trained his officers and sought work for them. SRT successfully accomplished all their missions which covered a variety of tactical areas. (see SRT Missions).

Klem assisted in creating the K-9 Unit, Gang and Terrorism Intelligence Unit (GTIU) and Project Lifesaver Task Force (PLS). He commanded the GTIU for a short time and still serves as the Deputy Commander of PLS.
